Happy Thanksgiving. We’ve got plenty to be thankful for.
A year ago today we had two family members in intensive care.
A year and a day ago we buried my mother.
We’re having a small gathering this year. No stragglers or misfit toys, just the immediates. We are missing one of us who is currently off on adventure. Macedonia, if I’m reading the GPS correctly.
We’ve got plenty to be thankful for.
The wind is blowing. The sun is shining. It’s not too cold.
There’s a turkey in the oven, still cold, but making its way. The horses are on grass, not needing hay quite yet.
The dog is acting weird, which is normal for her. One of the cats threw up this morning which is normal as well.
We’ve got plenty to be thankful for.
We’ve got a great country. Probably the best one ever. The table is big and it has plenty of chairs. Regardless of where you’re sitting there’s enough to go around.
Here’s wishing the best for all of you. Things are good.
And remember, we’ve got plenty to be thankful for.
