Street photography is the cornerstone of all photography.
The idea is that one sees a picture and shortly thereafter makes it. Seeing the potential for a picture and waiting around until it happens counts as well. This concept works in any photographic situation, portraits, sports, news, landscape… it all counts. Ansel Adams, for example, was a street photographer. Feel free to fight me on this.
Here are a few images from a recent walk around Istanbul. Twelve color images with people, shared in the order they were made, a few random selects, selected without rhyme or reason.
