Remember when the cool kids used to refer to making a picture as a “capture”? I’m not sure if they still do. Let’s hope not. Such a weird thing to say. I mean, is that a camera in your hand or a butterfly net?
It's also ironic, as from what I can see, the photographer is the one who’s most likely to be captured these days.
A bring this up because I recently attended a prestigious shindig that featured performances by renowned classical musicians. No expense was spared. Wonderful performances in a beautiful venue, exclusive and basically free. None of this would have happened, the facility wouldn’t even exist, without the (husband and wife) patrons.
This display of old-school patronage got me thinking.
